And now for another vol. of my weekly updates.
[-]I didn't get the job @ Cleveland Clinic. Bummer, but whatevs. I now have 2 new interviews pending...one in OH again this time in Columbus instead of Cleveland, and at the OH State University Hosp, instead of CCF. *Fingers cross, this one I'll get* Sue me, I happen to like Ohio. The other at the UCLA for L&D and NICU. Who knows if I'll actually make this one though. Oh and there's also an interview with Lehigh Valley pending...I have to call in schedule. But this one is most definitely a fall back position, considering it's in my current state. Who would have thought that Karen would be the first one to get a job. Never saw that one coming. 1 girlie down, the 3 of us to go.
[-]So after our meeting with the kidney transplant center, turns out that I'm a match for little bro (I happen to be the "universal donor") and we're currently in the process of me donating. If all goes well, the transplant will more than likely be at the end of this month or the very beginning of the next. Damn lately it seems like I stay under the knife. Everyone is making it out to be this really huge deal, I honestly don't get it. He's my brother why wouldn't I want to save his life? Not to quote Napolean Dynamite or anything but: "What the heck would you do in a situation like this?"
[-]My "donor" has taken to stalking me. I find it absolutely hilarious how in his mind, he's actually a good father. Truth of the matter is, he's a fucking dead beat and I will continue to treat him as such. He's dead to me. Needless to say I continue to ignore all his feeble attempts at contacting me. Funny how when graduation is near he all of a sudden wants to be a father. Where was he when I was about to get kicked out? No where to be found. Therefore as far as I'm concerned he got lost, and he can stay that way. Enough said.
[-]Work is work. TJ still sucks balls. But whatever it's money. Oh and this weekend working a double I actually met a guy. We've talked twice since, but I doubt it's going anywhere. And somehow I'm totally cool with that. Must be the Kiki in me, lol.
[-]School is still sucking the life outta me. This is a very rigorous semester. Nothing like senior year of high school, which was pretty much a fly by. It's kicking my ass but I'm weathering on. Speaking of which I have a bunch of studying to do, so I'm gone. Oy.... I just keep telling myself: 3 months and counting.

University Owned...
Just a few quick updates:
[-] My application status with CCF is still pending. So who knows? I'm still praying I get it though. I know, pathetic, right? /:)
[-] Cady and I have developed this new diet challenge to lose weight by graduation, cruise, and my vacation with the fam. I'm so super excited about it. And since it's sorta like a competition I can tell that I'm going to be totally dedicated. B-)
[-] This semester is going to be insane!!! My university is seriously trying to kill us before graduation, so who knows when I'll ever get time to stop in and just blog out the blue... From here on out I have to be in super student mode. #-o
[-]Random: I drank coffee, now I have excruciating boob pain. @-)

What About Your Friends? vol. 3
It's the end of the semester. That should totally explain my absence. I am friggin exhausted, and the end has only just begun. This week is full of the god awful HESI tests and next week is full of the god awful finals so I anticipate absolutely losing my mind [and many night's sleep] before all is said and done. 8-} Anyhow this entry is going to be short and sweet. I only dropped in to make my presence known in December since up to now I have yet to do so. And to also commemorate this moment in time, where I-Ms.LeadingLady have decided to go solo. @-)
I love la girlas and maybe it's the stress of the end of the semester and me being irritable and extra sensitive...IDK!! All I can say for sure is they (and more so Cady than anyone else) are driving me crazy. Maybe it's not them, it's me but I need a little break from our "Bromance". I need my space. I am so happy to have at least a month to myself away from them. Maybe absence really does make the heart grow fonder. In any case, I'm breaking away just for a bit. My new years resolution is to definitely be a lot less codependent on my "friends". /:)

What About Your Friends? vol. 2
So my upcoming surgery which will actually take place in just a few hours, for some reason has me evaluating and classifying my current friendships. The way I now see it is that I have three degrees of friendships, and oddly enough each one of la girlas can be classified accordingly.
To begin, there's the first degree friend. Similar to a burn, the first degree friend is the most superficial. We're cordial and we sporadically hang out, sit and study together for classes but after college is over we'll of course promise to keep in touch but we'll probably never speak to each other again. According to la girlas this of course is Karen*. It is safe to say that I will not be getting a call from her to see if all went well with the surgery.
Next, you have the second degree friend. This friend is partial thickness, an on occasion fair weather friend. This person is a bit more involved then the first degree considering you hang out about 50% of the time and you divulge minor secrets and facts about yourselves to each other. But the second degree friend is not someone to count on through thick and thin to be there for you whenever through whatever. This is most definitely Miss GG*, and it could go either way with her. While I would love to think that she would remember me and call to see that I am ok, I'd be shocked if she actually did. I realized awhile ago that GG is not someone I can count on.
Finally that brings me to Cady*, my third degree friend. She's "my person" and that basically sums the third degrees up. They're the ones you know you can go to for and with anything and no matter what they'd be there for you. Your loyal support system. Third degrees are the type of friends that you should work to keep close forever. There is no doubt in my mind that Cady will call me and see what's up. This friendship is based on truth, love and loyalty. Cady is the one I'd expect to ride or die.
I'm the type of person who likes to know where I stand with people. At least then there's no surprises or let downs when you know just what to expect. Like I said it could go either way with GG and I already know that, but I can't lie and say that I won't be just a bit dissapointed if I don't hear from her. [-(
[a][d][d][e][d]
SO it turns out that I was exactly right in all my predictions. Cady called me everyday that I was out, as for GG and Karen: not so much. But in Karen's defense the poor girl didn't even realize I had surgery. What can I say? I only talked about it in her presence about a gillion times, but the girl is an air head of epic proportions. She was thoroughly concerned and sweet however when the fact finally seeped in to that brain of hers... Maybe I have her degree of friendship confused with GG's. *Something to consider* :-? In addition, I was a bit disappointed in the fact that I didn't hear from GG and our friendship was on the brink of extinction but she was cool when I finally returned to school, carrying my bag and buying me breakfast so I guess I'll build a bridge and get over it.

What Happens in the 'burg Stays in the 'burg!
So I spent the past three days sleeping next to a beautiful woman & I'm probably one of the only people alive who says that and actually means "sleep". I've been well aware of my crush on G.G for awhile now and our little trip did not help the situation not one little bit. I am so attracted to her it's ridiculous. Sleeping in such close proximity and spending so much time with her over the past few days was absolutely brutal but alas I got through it just before falling madly in love with her and completely ruining our friendship by "accidently" touching her inappropriately during her sleep (totally joking about the last part, lol). /:)
Nevertheless Harrisburg was awesome. The convention was a bit draining but it was great to get away and cut loose. And when I say cut loose boy do I mean it. Thursday night was insane. My first time getting "white girl" wasted, and although I paid for it the next day with a wicked hangover, good times were had by all. La girlas are still laughing at my drunk ass. Supposedly Lady Gaga's "Just Dance" was meant for me that night. All I can say is thank God no one video taped, and what happens in the 'burg stays in the 'burg. Starting the night off with a drink that was practically all top shelf Tequila (Patrone) was a very bad choice. I was pretty much screwed from the very beginning. G.G followed suit and by the end of the night we were both giggling idiots, right before passing out on one another. :"> I wish I could say that was the first and the last time...but I'd probably be lying through my teeth. I had a blast and if I had to do it all over again I know I probably would.
In other news I met a shit load of potential employers at the career fair and my hope for my future in nursing has finally been restored. I am so excited to start applying, interviewing, and hopefully relocating. There are a bunch of in state hospitals I'm going to apply for but you know my real hope is to get one out of the tristate. I have a lot more hospitals to choose from, but much research is going to go into them all. Although they are out of state, some of the locations are iffy. It's weird that this is one of my priorities but I'm definitely looking to relocate somewhere with a prominent LGBT scene. This is why LA has always been my first choice. But I'm slowly coming to the realization that it's going to take some time before I'm able to afford to live in a place like Cali. DC doesn't seem like such a bad choice, and neither does B-More these days, but we shall see.

Girl Crush vol. 2
Yesterday my best friend asked me why I didn't have a boyfriend...I don't think she's ready to hear about how at this point in my life, I'd much rather have a girlfriend. Or how I'm attracted to boys, because I can easily admit it some are really very gorgeous and sexy, but for now all I can think about is being with another girl.
I hate keeping things from them but you know what I hate even more, having to hide who I am in the first place. But I doubt that they would understand. It would be hella weird, and I'm chicken shit. So long story short, I gave her the unabridged version..."Oh I'm focusing on school right now. I have so much going on in life as is without adding a boo to the equation." Which I mean is some sort of the truth... =/ Oh well and whatevs.

Speaking of lady cops, in a random twist of events Misses Officer zoomed by me on the highway today. She's sexy and once upon a time I was really feeling her style, but nevertheless she is a bitch and I refuse to go that route again. From past experience I know that story does not end well. I still can't help but to think of her whenever I hear the Lil' Wayne song, and now whenever I see this damn Like A Boy video...

What About Your Friends?
Holy Shit We're Mean Girls!!!
MsLeadingLady, AM, MP, and BB.
Ok so as lame as this might sound/actually be...this is sooo la girlas and me. Last night, in thinking about recent drama and events I realized that our group dynamic and personalities are practically identical to the cast and characters of this movie Mean Girls.
"She's fabulous but she's evil."
Regina George, Totally AM. I love girlie to death but no if ands or buts about it she's A BITCH! And since I believe in making excuses for my loved ones: she's a Gemini, sometimes I seriously doubt that she can help it. I mean a true Gem. One minute she's the life of the party, one of the most hilarious people you'll ever meet...the next evil takes a human form in AM, and she's a fire breathing dragon. Cruel and bitchy for no apparent reason whatsoever. She's a no holds bar, take no shit, kick ass and ask questions later kinda gal...so for that reason flaws and all, she's our leader.
"I love her, she's like a Martian."
MP is definitely Cady Heron. Like Cady, MP spent her younger years growing up in another country so doesn't have the stupid little hang ups us American bred kids have. She is the sweetest person, the type who would give the shirt off her back if you needed one. A true I'd do anything for you type of friend. Besides MP is our little human calculator, one who actually likes math. I know, right? Ew.
"She's one of the dumbest girls you'll ever meet."
Then there's BB. The resident air head. BB is all innocent and sheltered, and definitely provides the comic relief, as some of the stuff that comes out of her mouth is just so not smart. She's the type whom in growing up still managed to keep in touch with the kid that lives inside of her. Sometimes it's downright refreshing, not to mention hilarious. Although I must admit most of the time we're not really laughing with her, but more like at her but shes still our girl and we love her. BB is Karen without question.

B-Day
You know when people say I have good news and I have bad which one do you want first? Well my answer is always the bad and so in keeping with tradition I guess I'll start this blog off with the bad and then end on a good note. So without further ado...
Bad: I've totally decided to cut my family off. Besides my immediates... my mom, grandmom, brother, Uncle U and a smatter (ok so I think I just made that word up but whatevs. Definition: n. few, not many) of cousins-I'm done. I deal with enough fake bitches on a day to day basis, hell I expect and may even tolerate it with non-significant others but with my own blood, I refuse. If you can't trust/depend on family then who else? Fugg 'em! But anyhoo...
Good: I LOVE my girls! Thanks to them this year my birthday didn't suck not even a little. I am so happy to have met them and have them in my life. I hope I can be half the friend to them that they are to me. I just love 'em. Viva la "triplets"!! (As our professor likes to call us.)
